Your Educational Diagnostician

I have been in education for the last 30 years 10 years in the classroom and 20as an Educational Diagnostician. I am currently certified in the states of Louisiana and Texas. I am also Nationally certified, and I also was on the board for Nationally Certified Educational Diagnosticians.

Purpose

Scott Dyslexia Testing provides private comprehensive dyslexia evaluations for individuals throughout Lafayette, Broussard, Opelousas, and the Acadiana area.

Evaluations are designed to identify patterns of strengths and weaknesses associated with dyslexia and related reading difficulties, to provide practical recommendations for intervention and educational support.

Testing is conducted primarily in Scott, Louisiana. Testing at another Acadiana area library may also be available for a small additional fee.

Who does the assessment?

I conduct all assessments. I am a certified Educational Diagnostician in Louisiana and Texas. I am also Nationally Certified.

Where is the assessment conducted?

Assessments are conducted in a private room at the Scott, Louisiana Library located on Old Spanish Trail.

For a small additional fee, testing can be conducted in a public library in your town.

What is the format of your assessment?

The Assessments are completed in at least 2 sessions depending on the needs of the individual. The first session is approximately 30 to 45 minutes, which will include parent and student interview, and a needs assessment.

The second session will be the actual assessment required for the individual. This session will take approximately 1 to 2 hours.

What is the cost for this service?

Comprehensive Dyslexia Assessment $650.00

Your Comprehensive Dyslexia assessment includes formal standardized assessment and a written report explaining the educational impact of scores on reading performance. Your report will include child specific recommendations.

The cost can be divided into 2-3 payments. However, a payment of $250.00 is due before testing will be conducted. The balance must be paid in full before the report will be released.
